Dr Leigh grew up in South Africa and joins the practice in March 2024. She prides herself on providing compassionate, meticulous and patient-centred care to all. Dr Leigh has a particular interest in pregnancy care, women’s health and enjoys all aspects of general practice including paediatrics, preventative medicine and chronic disease management.

She completed her undergraduate medical training in Cape Town, South Africa in 2006 and initially worked in emergency medicine in Newcastle and Melbourne as well as completing her diploma in obstetrics and gynaecology in Newcastle.

Dr Leigh worked as a GP in Port Stephens from 2012 – 2022 and completed her GP fellowship in 2021 after completing her family.

When she is not working, Dr Leigh also enjoys dancing, music, nature and spending time with family and friends.
